Delivery Result Transformation Case Study

This is a case study of a delivery excellence program championed by Nagaraja Gundappa in Wipro Technologies. Over 1500 project managers were trained in advanced topics of software project management, mentored and assessed. An independent survey of projects managed by those who were trained and did well in the assessments showed that they performed at 13% less schedule overrun compared to the projects managed by those who had average scores in the assessments. The results were very positively received by the management in Wipro Technologies and the delivery excellence team led by Nagaraja Gundappa were given awards by Mr. Premji also. VAKI principle – VAKI stands for Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic and Integrated mode of learning. Different learners have different aptitude towards different learning methods. ACE learning materials reinforce the learning from all types of learning. Rich imagery that includes graphics such as tables, charts, pictures and diagrams are used to visually reinforce the learning. Where feasible, videos are also used. The faculty presentation constitutes the auditory form of learning and sufficient hands-on exercises are used to ensure kinaesthetic mode of learning.
